Zambia Stacking Vessel, one of the first pieces in our Earthwide edition, embracing craft from all around the globe.
For this special collection launched in September 2023 we worked together with Made51 , a UN run organisation connecting us directly with women living in a refugee camp in Zambia and seeking work. The women harvest the roots of a local bush (Makenge bush), clean and split the root and weave it into golden silky baskets ornamented with locally mined copper wire.

The baskets are combined with our signature coloured glass.

Handmade in Europe, by individual craftsmen: handblown glass (Czech Republic), woven makenge root (Zambia). The materials then come to our warehouse in North Germany where they are fitted and assembled.
