A masterpiece for your home, beautifully tactile, sublime in the contrast of its natural materials and grand in its scale and archaic shape.
Alike the other collections of Stacking Vessels, the TSV4 stands as a sculpture when stacked, and becomes functional once unstacked, the three containers acting as independent bowls and vases.
Dimensions: height 57cm diameter 34cm
Dimensions are approximate, due to the handmade nature of the materials
Handmade in Europe, by individual craftsmen: handblown glass (Czech Republic), ceramic (Scotland), hand turned wood (Finland).
The materials then come to our warehouse in North Germany where they are fitted and assembled.

Craft Challenge: the glass has to be blown first and then fitted to the ceramic bowl, due to the shrinkage of the ceramic in the firing process. The large scale of the piece makes us work with a tolerance of up to 15mm on the diameter. It requires an extremely technical ceramicist to throw large bowls to this precision and weight, even keeping the bowl round is a challenge at this scale.
When (un)stacking the Vessel, take care of the friction between the porous ceramic lip and the polished glass edge to avoid wear.
